Privacy policy

The app

Olycen Transfer Manager has no telemetry, no analytics and no account. It does not send your footage, file names, project names or reports anywhere.

  • Update check. Olycen can check olycen.com/updates/appcast.xml for new versions (Sparkle). It asks your permission before checking automatically, and you can also check by hand from the menu. A check carries what any web request carries — your IP address and the app version — and we do not attach a profile of your Mac.
  • Licence. Activation is a signed file checked on your Mac. It does not contact us.
  • Deliveries you set up. If you configure S3, SFTP or a webhook, the app connects to the address you entered, with the credentials you entered, and nowhere else. Your S3 secret key is kept in your Mac's Keychain; the other delivery settings (endpoint, bucket, access key ID, webhook address) are stored in Olycen's preferences on your Mac.
  • Set dashboard. The optional dashboard is served on your local network only. Anyone who has its address and code on that network can see job status.
  • Diagnostics. Exporting diagnostics is a button you press. The file holds versions, settings, job summaries, a sample of failed file names and reasons, and volume names — never media or your licence file. You decide whether to send it to us.

This website and buying

  • Payments. Purchases and trials are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. They collect your email, name and payment details and are responsible for that data under their own privacy policy. We never see your card number.
  • Your licence. To issue and re-send a licence we store your name (or email if no name was given), email address, order identifier and licence details.
  • Waitlist. If you joined our waitlist before launch, we hold the email address you gave and the page you came from, only to tell you about the release.
  • Hosting and measurement. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs. We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not track you across sites or collect personal data. The site sets no advertising cookies and has no advertising pixels.

Your rights

You can ask us to show, correct or delete the data we hold about you. Write to [email protected] from the address you used. Deleting a licence record does not stop an already-downloaded licence file from working, because activation is offline.
